Peoria may not immediately come to mind as a dining destination, but longtime West Valley residents know it has its charm, from long-standing watering holes to a family-owned neighborhood farm stand. And hotspots like the P83 district and Park West mall offer a variety of options for diners of all tastes.
Recent developments have brought a number of exciting new eateries to the area, from family-owned Mexican restaurants to an upscale steakhouse and Harkins' first-ever dine-in movie theater.
Here's your guide to the new restaurants, bars and coffee shops now open in Peoria.
Bourbon & Bones
Bourbon & Bones Chophouse and Bar opened its third location at the southeast corner of Happy Valley and 83rd Avenue in Peoria. The upscale steakhouse offers prime steaks that range from $46 to $94, as well as tuna tartare, oysters, and shrimp and lobster co*cktails.
Looking to ball out? Up to 12 guests can try the ZD Abacus Dinner for $25,000. The dinner includes a limited edition 3-liter bottle of ZD Abacus and a personalized six-course meal featuring a dozen 34-ounce prime Tomahawk steaks.

Bully Brew Co.
Bully Brew Co. is Peoria's newest coffee shop. Inspired by the owners' pit bulls and mascot, Boomer. Bully Brew's "doggone amazing coffee" includes cold brew, lattes and americanos. Their food menu includes berry and mascarpone toast, a bagel BLT and a chicken salad croissant.

Canelas Placita
A new family-owned Mexican restaurant is now open in Peoria. Canelas Placita serves elotes, tacos, burritos, tortas, tacos dorados and quesadillas. They also have a breakfast menu including a burrito a la Michoacana, breakfast burrito, breakfast torta and chilaquiles.

Fabio On Fire Panini & Gelateria
Fabio Ceschetti, the chef and owner of the popularWest Valley Italian restaurantFabio on Fire, has opened asecond restaurant in Peoria. The new restaurant focuses on paninis and gelato, hence the name. Panini options include the Toscano, made with porchetta al forno a legna or wood-roasted pork belly, provolone, parmigiano spread, fried zucchini and extra virgin olive oil. Or, the Donna di cuori, made with mortadella with pistachios, creamy mozzarella, Sicilian pistachio pesto, arugula and extra-virgin olive oil.

Handel's Homemade Ice Cream
Handel's Homemade Ice Creamopened its fifth Arizona locationat Park West shopping center in Peoria. The Ohio-based ice cream shop offers over 45 flavors, like chocolate raspberry truffle, black cherry, cinnamon graham cracker, peppermint bark and cheesecake with Oreo.

Harkins Ciné Grill
Harkins' first-ever dine-in theater isnow open in northern Peoria. Unlike many dine-in theaters, you don't have to see a movie to visit the Harkins Ciné Grill. Menu highlights include chips and guacamole topped with pomegranate and cotija, crispy roasted Brussels sprouts, a Sonoran bacon-wrapped hot dog, creamy macaroni and cheese and a s'mores skillet brownie. They also offer an enormous drinks menu that includes ICEE co*cktails.

Hash Kitchen
The brunch restaurant known for its build-your-own bloody mary bar opened a new location at P83 in Peoria. Other exciting menu highlights include cannoli donuts, creme brulee bruschetta, banana split brioche, brunch birria bao buns and s'mores pancakes.

LA Crab Shack
LA Crab Shack is now open in Peoria, selling crab legs, lobster tails, clams and mussels. The restaurant also offers shareable seafood platters that feed four to six people for $155.99.

Salad World
Salad World, a new build-your-own salad restaurant, debuted in Peoria. Don't get it confused with a self-serve salad bar at a buffet — Salad World emphasizes its selection of over 60 fresh unlimited ingredients to make the salad or wrap your heart desires.

Someburros
Someburros, a family-owned and operated Mexican restaurant that first opened in Phoenix in the 1980s, has finally expanded west with its long-awaited Peoria location. Someburros uses family recipes for all of their tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, taquitos and quesadillas. Fan favorites include pollo fundido burros, red and green chili beef and frozen margaritas.

Stetson Social
Stetson Social is the latest restaurant at Peoria's 83rd Marketplace, offering a buzzy Mediterranean-inspired menu that includes bruschetta boards, sandwiches, skewers and flatbreads. They also offer wines from all over the world, plus 10 beers on tap.

The Vig
The Vig opened its sixth Phoenix-area location at the Park West shopping center in Peoria near State Farm Stadium. The Vig offers crab and shrimp enchiladas, grilled hanger steak, house-made rigatoni, blackened mahi-mahi tacos and a hot-honey chicken sandwich. Signature co*cktails include their "Top Shelf Livin" with Tepozan Añejo, Grand Marnier 100, Dubonnet Rouge, demerara syrup and gold-flaked orange peel. They also have the "Clairvoyant," made with Absolute Watermelon vodka, Strega Liqueur, pomegranate syrup, watermelon, ginger, lemon syrup and sparkling water.
